Orientation to Online Training

Welcome to the GED 2002 Online Professional Development Orientation! This orientation gives you an overview of the components of this online training, as well as information on navigating the site.

If this is your first online training, you might not realize how effective it can be:

• Online training is convenient. It is available anytime and anywhere. Just log onto your computer and work at your own pace. You don't have to finish the entire training at one time, and you may not need to complete the whole program.
  
  
• Online training is interactive. You will be involved in online activities as you gain experience in navigating the wonderful World Wide Web!
  
  
• Online training is informational. Use it for staff development and as an instructional resource. If there is something of interest to you, just bookmark it. The Internet can become your own personal reference library.
