KET ED offers instructional and professional development series for use in P-12 Kentucky schools. These programs made up KET’s core service when the network signed on the air in 1968, and ITV has been a critical part of our programming mix ever since. In January 1989, our instructional schedule was expanded into a full-time service, initially available only via satellite downlink. The switch to digital broadcast, completed in June 2005, made KET’s educational service more broadly accessible to private, parochial, and home schools. Some Kentucky cable providers also offer KET ED to their subscribers.
The KET ED service combines programs previously seen on KET3 and KET4, including ITV series, Annenberg and KET professional development programs, and PBS programs with educational content. |
