Program 10: Celebrating Ancestors (African Masks)

Maude Alexander has enjoyed a long career in education and the arts, ranging from teaching and
administering early childhood programs to directing a recreational center to providing workshops in
art, puppetry, drama, poetry, and writing for children and adults. In addition, she has put her
multicultural approach to learning and art into practice as an instructor at King Elementary in
Louisville and at the Louisville Visual Arts Association. Maude has a B.A. in sociology from the
University of Louisville with additional credits from a variety of institutions.
