There are so many theater-related sites on the Internet that it is hard to know where to begin . so we've gathered together some cool drama web sites to get you started.


PBS provides the nation with access to some of the best drama performances in the world as well as profiles of actors, directors, playwrights, and drama organizations. Check out these sites:

  • Great Performances
    Select "Musical Theater" for extensive resources devoted to American masterpieces such as works by the Gershwins, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and many more. In "Regional Performance" you'll find information about a film adaptation of Eugene O'Neill's autobiographical masterpiece, Long Day's Journey Into Night.
  • American Masters
    Look for information about Actor's Studio, Stella Adler, Group Theatre, Arthur Miller, Negro Ensemble Company, Eugene O'Neill, Neil Simon, and Tennessee Williams as well as numerous film directors and stars of stage and screen.

  • Masterpiece Theatre
    Offers exceptional film adaptations of literary masterpieces.

Lesson Plans

Hosted by the Kennedy Center, this site includes lots of drama lesson plans.
