This is a hand-colored lithograph that shows the battle at Fort Pillow, Tennessee. It is a printed copy of a drawing. The battle shown here was one-sided. There were many more Confederate troops than Union troops. The Confederate soldiers killed or wounded hundreds of people. There are different stories about what really happened during this battle. But, it appears to have been more of a massacre than a fight.
