Handbill, 1862

9 3/8" x 11 3/4"

Kirby Smith was a Confederate major general. He had this paper posted in Kentucky. The goal was to encourage men to fight for the South. At the time, the Confederates were trying to take over the state. People had no TVs, radios, phones, or computers to communicate with. So, they depended on word of mouth and printed information like this handbill.
