Camp Dick

This print from Harper's Weekly shows Camp Dick Robinson in Kentucky. Camp Dick Robinson was in Garrard County. The camp was a large training center for the Union. The estate was a 19th-century stagecoach stop. Then, it was a farm owned by Captain Richard Robinson. When the Civil War began, Robinson let the government use it for the Union Army. Confederates took control of the camp for a short time during the war.
