Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting Mona Lisa is assessed at $100 million (U.S.), the highest insurance value for a painting in history.

1992:

Angkor is nominated to become a United Nations World Heritage Site. The archaeological site in Cambodia contains remains of different capitals of the Khmer Empire from the 9th to the 15th centuries, including the famous Temple of Angkor Wat.
