1975 Kentucky Colonels

The Kentucky Colonels participated in the American Basketball Association (ABA) all nine years of its existence. In 1967, when the team first formed, the Colonels were most known for their eye-catching green uniforms, their unique dog mascot, and their bizarre promotions. By 1975, however, the team pictured here won the ABA championship. When the ABA merged with the NBA during the 1976-77 season, the Colonels were one of the two teams left out of the merger.
