Adolph Rupp
Adolph Rupp, seen here preparing his team before a game, coached at the University of Kentucky for 42 years. During that time, the Baron of Basketball won 876 games and led Kentucky to four NCAA championships, 27 SEC championships, and one NIT title. In 1948, he also co-coached the U.S. Olympic team to the gold medal. Named National Coach of the Year four times, Rupp was the innovator of the fast break and helped bring national recognition to Kentuckys passion for basketball. |
