Wah Wah Jones

Wallace “Wah Wah” Jones was the starting forward on the University of Kentucky’s “Fabulous Five” and helped the school win NCAA national championships in 1948 and 1949. He was also a member of the 1948 U.S. Olympic team that won the gold medal and was named an All-American in 1949. An all-around athlete, Jones also played on UK’s baseball and football teams and is the only UK athlete to have his jersey retired in both football and basketball.
