John and Danita Thomas, the husband and wife who host Kid Concoctions, come to the KET studios to talk about the hundreds of recipes they’ve created to make learning fun. Their recipes “magically” transform common household items into amazing, commercial-quality concoctions and contraptions—quickly, easily, and inexpensively.

Designed as learning experiments that parents and children can do together, the projects presented in Kid Concoctions use science, art, and mathematics to both educate and entertain. Even valuable life skills can be learned in the process of measuring and mixing the various—and inexpensive—items used in the projects.
