Actor George Clooney narrates composer Tim Janis stirring musical tribute to the beauty of Americas national parks in Tim Janis: Beautiful America. The program combines the music of one of Americas most accomplished and popular young composers with spectacular footage of diverse scenic wonders from five of the countrys most popular national parks: Acadia (Maine), Yosemite (California), Grand Canyon (Arizona), Great Smoky Mountains (North Carolina and Tennessee), and Mount Rainier (Washington).
Stunning images of these parks are interwoven with an original instrumental score featuring 15 new pieces composed by Janis and performed by the 14-piece Tim Janis Ensemble. The score was recorded live at the 125-year-old Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH, one of the premier historic theaters in the United States.
Janis has 10 albums to his credit. His most recent releases are Flowers in October, a musical portrait of New England in autumn, and The Simple Gifts of Christmas, featuring new arrangements of holiday classics.
