Ghosts of Old Louisville
by David Dominé
From the back cover of the 2005 paperback edition:
“The spookiest Victorian neighborhood in the nation” is revealed in Ghosts of Old Louisville. David Dominé strolls through picturesque streets and alleyways of America’s largest Victorian neighborhood and relates fascinating stories, hauntings and unexplained occurrences from these grand old mansions. As owner of one of these turn-of-the-century homes, he shares firsthand knowledge of lost spirits as he pulls open a creaky door to the past.
David Dominé lives in an old Victorian house in the Old Louisville Preservation District. When not writing food and travel pieces as senior correspondent for Kentucky Monthly or Arts Across Kentucky magazine, he likes to cook for his friends and wander the neighborhood with his dogs in search of new ghost stories. He also teaches foreign languages at Bellarmine University and Indiana University Southeast. His current projects include his first novel, The Wonders of Absinthe, and several cookbooks featuring recipes for Kentucky fine dining.
