High Bridge

(#620) from Kentucky Life Program 620 (2000)

Host Dave Shuffett talks with long-time area residents and historians about the tourism heyday of High Bridge, a cantilevered railroad bridge soaring 275 feet over the Kentucky River between Jessamine and Mercer counties. At the time of its dedication in 1877, it was the highest railroad bridge in the world.
