Lexington Public Library Ceiling Clock

(#1108) from Kentucky Life Program 1108 (2005)

A look at the workings of the 40-foot-wide clock in the ceiling of the Lexington Public Library’s main branch. A gift of philanthropist Lucille Caudill Little, the clock marks time with a circle of 60 horse figures that light up in succession and is accompanied by a four-story Foucault pendulum as well as a frieze by local artist Adalin Wichman.
