Marc Evans, senior ecologist with the Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission, hunts for rare wildflowers on Black Mountain in Harlan County. The summit of Black Mountain, Kentucky’s highest point, shelters 28 different plant species found nowhere else in the state. Segment narrated by series host Dave Shuffett.
