Tom Fitzgerald, director of the Kentucky Resources Council, received the Heinz Award for environmental work in 2008. He talks about his work over the years, his goals for an environmental leadership training program, and how citizens can help the environment. He also identifies his top environmental issues affecting Kentucky: limited state money for environmental protection and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants.
