Connections with Renee Shaw

(#809) 2012 Election

A discussion about the presidential race from three different perspectives: a Democrat, a Republican, and one independent who feels jilted by both choices. They discuss messages, policies, advertising, the impact of the debates, and parse out worse case scenarios of a statistical tie in the electoral college vote. Renee's guests are: Brian Clardy, Murray State University History professor; Stephen McFayden, Lexington attorney; and Osi Onyekwuluje, a Bowling Green attorney.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
(The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
