(#720) Oral History Commission/Harmonics/High School Choruses

The Kentucky Oral History Commission, begun in 1976, has one of the largest and most accessible collections of taped interviews in the country. A band of seniors in Louisville entertains with harmonicas and nostalgic songs. And high school singers perform in two choruses formed through the 2001 Kentucky Music Educators Association all-state audition process. A 2001 KET production hosted by Dave Shuffett.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
(The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
