(#1217) Wayne Ferguson/Marilynn Pfanstiel/State Nature Preserves Commission

When well-respected ceramics artist Wayne Ferguson suffered damage to his vision in a car accident, fellow artists raised money to help with the medical bills. Marilyn Pfanstiel, who overcame medical obstacles herself to become a noted author and artist, collects and shares stories of inspiring women. And the Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission marks 30 years of protecting Kentucky's wild places. A 2006 KET production hosted by Dave Shuffett.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
(The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
