Kentucky Time Capsule

(#122) All Your Parts Don't Wear Out at the Same Time

In the 1970s, "old age" began to get a new image. Research and greater understanding of exercise and diet led to the realization that old age could be a time of vigorous activity. But how do you tell a society obsessed with youth about the value of having old people around? Actors Theatre of Louisville created a program to help old people spread the word about their worth.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
(The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
