Jesse Stuart Foundation/Judy Geagley Bears/FIRST Lego League
The Jesse Stuart Foundation, a small nonprofit book publisher in Ashland, continues the legacy of the acclaimed author, educator, and conservationist. Judy Geagley of Tollesboro designs and crafts teddy bears that are sold at high-end department stores in New York, Chicago, and Beverly Hills. And at Western Kentucky University, students and their hand-built robots compete in the Kentucky FIRST Lego League Competition. A 2008 KET production hosted by Dave Shuffett.
