Cleaning up Pulaski County's Saltpeter Pit, a cave that is home to Kentucky's largest colony of endangered Rafinesque's big-eared bats; nationally known bagpipe and tin whistle player Skip Cleavinger, who has performed with more than 30 symphony orchestras; and the Portland Museum, housed in an antebellum "country seat" on the old road between Portland and Louisville. A 2008 KET production hosted by Dave Shuffett.
