Author Sidney Saylor Farr discusses My Appalachia: A Memoir, her story of growing up in the mountains of southeastern Kentucky and how her devotion to her family led her to accept crushing responsibilities that steered her away from her own goals. It was named book of the year by the Appalachian Writer's Association. Farr is a former editor of Appalachian Heritage and has taught at Berea College. A 2008 KET production.
