(#1316) Purple People Bridge/Thai Fruit Carver/Russ Faxon

The Purple People Bridge in Northern Kentucky gives climbers a taste of adventure as well as great views of the area. Maki Takahashi carries on the traditions of Royal Thai fruit carving to create pieces of edible art. And Tennessee sculptor Russ Faxon captures his unique way of looking at the world in bronze. A 2007 KET production hosted by Dave Shuffett.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
(The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
