Railroad History in Fulton

(#603) from Kentucky Life Program 603 (2000)

Host Dave Shuffett talks with retired railroad workers about the days when Fulton, in Kentucky’s extreme western tip, was a freight shipping hub. For several decades starting in the 1920s, most of the bananas distributed in the U.S. came to Fulton to be re-iced after making the trip up from the Gulf of Mexico.
