A look at several fine examples of stone buildings crafted by Italian immigrant masons in Eastern Kentucky during the first half of the 20th century, with historical commentary by Rachel Kennedy of the Kentucky Heritage Council. Vincent Mongiardo and Ernestine Calitri Brashear, descendants of some of the original stonecutters, talk about their families’ histories in the region. Segment narrated by series host Dave Shuffett.
