At Liberty Hall in Frankfort, reenactors provide a taste of what daily life was like in the early days of Kentucky statehood. The house, now a state historic site, was built at the turn of the 19th century by John Brown, who had represented the county of Kentucky in the Virginia legislature and the Continental Congress and went on to be one of the new state’s first U.S. senators. This segment, introduced by series host Dave Shuffett, was excerpted from a documentary by Kentucky-based filmmaker Nell Cox.
