Georgetown

(#909) from Kentucky Life Program 909 (2003)

While traveling across Kentucky on U.S. Hwy. 62, host Dave Shuffett talks with Scott County Judge Executive George Lusby about life in Georgetown and the changes brought by the arrival of a major Toyota manufacturing plant. Lusby also shows some of his favorite fishing spots along Elkhorn Creek and reads from columns he has written for the local newspaper.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
(The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
