Civil War reenactors from around the country converge on Boyle County for the 140th-anniversary restaging of the Battle of Perryville. The bloody confrontation in October 1862, Kentucky’s largest Civil War battle, marked a last attempt by the Confederacy to maintain a foothold in the state.
