Paul Rusch, Japanese Hero

The story of Paul Rusch, a Louisville native who traveled to Japan on a volunteer project in 1925 and stayed to make economic development in the country’s Yatsugatake Highlands his life’s work. He introduced new farming methods (as well as American football), founded an educational service organization that is still active, and is revered as a hero in the region. Segment narrated by series host Dave Shuffett.
