Ballard Wildlife Management Area

Host Dave Shuffett gets a rare opportunity to visit the Ballard Wildlife Management Area during the winter, when 100,000 or more migrating geese, ducks, and other waterfowl stop over on their way along the Mississippi Flyway. This Western Kentucky wetland is also the year-round home of several rare species, including most of the state’s bald eagles.
