Short’s Goldenrod

Naturalists show examples of Short’s goldenrod at Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park—one of just a few known sites where this extremely rare plant is found. Named for a 19th-century Kentucky doctor and amateur botanist, the plant is celebrated with an annual festival at the park. Segment narrated by series host Dave Shuffett.
