Peter Morrin of the University of Louisville Arts and Culture Partnerships Initiative talks about how city residents and university students can benefit from parterships to make available the vast arts and culture resources in Louisville. He talks about the Day of the Dead celebration as an example of a successful partnership, and discusses the surprising strength of arts and culture programs at the university. Interview conducted by Candyce Clifft.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
    In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
    (The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
    If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
