(#617) Lincoln's Boyhood Home/McConnell Springs/Firefighter Training/Log Cabins

Knob Hill Farm, where Abraham Lincoln spent his toddler and preschool years; the site where Lexington was founded, now a park and education center maintained by a volunteer foundation; airport training for firefighters who have to battle blazes aboard airplanes; and log cabins around the state. A 2000 KET production hosted by Dave Shuffett.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
(The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
