Canoeing the Green River

(#519) from Kentucky Life Program 519 (1999)

Guide Ed Councill takes host Byron Crawford for a canoe trip on the Green River in Mammoth Cave National Park—including a section where the river runs underground. The relatively unspoiled Green hosts one of the most diverse freshwater ecosystems in the world and is the home of several fish and mussel species found nowhere else.
