Floyd Collins and Dr. C.C. Howard

James Gray, grandson of Dr. C.C. Howard, tells the story of how Howard was called to the southcentral Kentucky site where cave explorer Floyd Collins was trapped underground, only to find that he could do nothing but watch a 1925 version of a media circus unfold. Former Gov. Ned Breathitt also recalls other memories from Howard’s long career as a country doctor.
