Angus Augustus Burleigh

Writer/actor Hasan Davis portrays Angus Augustus Burleigh, a slave who ran away to fight for the Union in the Civil War and went on to become one of Berea College’s first black graduates. Davis also talks about the obstacles he has overcome in his own life and his research into Burleigh’s life and times. Segment introduced by series host Dave Shuffett.
