A visit to Glier’s Goetta in Covington, a family-run business that has been making a breakfast sausage called goetta since 1946. Based on a traditional German dish, goetta is made from pork, beef, and oats and can be cooked as patties or crumbled into a variety of other dishes. It’s also the inspiration for an annual festival in Northern Kentucky. Segment narrated by series host Dave Shuffett.
