A look at the Louisville Leopard Percussionists, a jazz ensemble of children ages 7-12 who took the spotlight on a trip to New York City and in a subsequent HBO Family documentary. Interviewed are Diane Downs, founder and artistic director; Jerry Tolson, advisory board member; and several of the child musicians. The producers of The Leopards Take Manhattan also talk about what makes the group special.
