Students Remember the Holocaust

Teacher Fred Whittaker talks about a Holocaust education program he started at St. Francis of Assisi School and efforts by students to lobby for a law making such instruction mandatory in Kentucky schools. Also interviewed are students Bennett Heine, Chloe Zoeller, Jalen Chang, and Rebecca Clements and principal Paula Watkins. The video includes testimony from Holocaust survivor Sandor Klein.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
    In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
    (The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
    If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
