David Imbrogno, executive director from 1995-2007, talks about the ways visitors can connect with nature, including the Canopy Treewalk 75 feet above the forest floor. Marc Evans, senior ecologist with the Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission, talks about Bernheim’s 12,000-acre forest and explains how valuable and rare it is.

Trouble with video in Firefox:

This is a known issue with the Window Media Video format.

Windows Media plugin is no longer maintained in Firefox, causing it to stop working.

Solution: Change the Firefox configuration file.
  1. Open a new tab or window.
    In the "Location/URL" bar, type "about:config" and press Enter.
    (The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page will appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.)
  2. In the "about:config" page search bar, enter:
    "plugins.load_appdir_plugins"
  3. Double click the preference name to change the "value" to true.
  4. Close and restart Firefox. The video should now work once you reopen the page.
    If not, then the WMV plugin may not be installed.
