USDA Rural Development Grant

In March 2004, the U.S. Department of Agriculture awarded KET a $619,000 grant for additional broadcast equipment that will help deliver educational programming to Eastern Kentucky schools and homes. Hilda Gay Legg, administrator of the USDA’s Rural Utility Service, visited KET’s Network Center in Lexington to make the award. Western Kentucky University was awarded a $760,000 grant at the same presentation.
