Gift for the Governor

Gov. Ernie Fletcher made a generous membership pledge to KET during the TeleFund 2005 broadcast of the Kentucky Life special Wild and Scenic Kentucky. KET Executive Director Mac Wall (right) and program host Dave Shuffett (second from right) then delivered the governor’s thank-you gift: a walking stick made from a genuine 19th-century Kentucky tobacco stick, signed by Dave. Secretary of Education Virginia G. Fox, Wall’s predecessor at KET, helped make the presentation.
