GED Connection™, part of the PBS LiteracyLink Project, offers learners excellent preparation for the GED exams and for the world beyond. Teachers and experts in each field not only cover the skills needed for passing the tests, they explain how these skills are important in the learner’s life and work. The programs can also be used individually within high school language arts, science, social studies, and mathematics courses as an introduction to or review of topics such as literary genres, the writing process, themes in American history, probability and statistics, and chemistry. Its multimedia approach—documentary-style video programs accompanied by workbooks and online activities—makes GED accessible for students with a variety of learning styles.

Pre-GED Connection is designed for learners who wish to prepare for the GED high school equivalency exam but are not yet at the 10+ reading level required for successful GED study. The series includes 26 of the 39 programs from KET’s award-winning and widely used GED Connection series of preparatory materials for the GED exam, correlated to a separate set of workbooks geared for reading levels of 6-8.

KET is block-feeding the GED Connection series several times during the 2005/06 school year for schools establishing Secondary GED programs. The table below shows which programs from GED Connection are included in Pre-GED Connection.
