Cissy Musselman, Women 4 Women

Cissy Musselman is the founder of Women 4 Women Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise money and public awareness for programs serving women and girls. Women 4 Women operates one of the most respected women’s golf tournaments and festivals in the country and donates more than $3 million annually for women’s causes.

Musselman also chaired Benchmark 2000, a project dedicated to the challenge of mobilizing public and private resources to identify and meet the priority needs of women and girls in the Louisville community at the millennium. The task force members first researched and analyzed the available resources, measuring them against cultural trends and the current status of women and girls, then produced a consensus-based plan of action to guide future service design and delivery. The Benchmark 2000 plan was adopted as the agenda for the Louisville Metro Government Office for Women in 2002.
