Chris Kenning, The Courier-Journal

Chris Kenning has been a staff writer for The Courier-Journal since 2001.

A graduate of Miami University of Ohio, Chris previously worked at newspapers in Oregon. His travels have taken him to Africa, Central America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, where he has reported on issues such as landmines in Cambodia, poverty in Nicaragua and curable blindness in Syria.

In 2010, The Courier-Journal sent a reporting team to Haiti to detail the aftermath of the January earthquake and follow efforts to assist, including those of EDGE Outreach. Chris Kenning was half of that team which also included photographer Kylene Lloyd.

The Courier-Journal has been part of the fabric of Louisville life since 1868.
