In Shelbyville, Kentucky, housed in an historic girls' preparatory school, is Wakefield-Scearce Galleries.
Founded in 1947 by Mark Wakefield and Mark Scearce , Wakefield-Scearce Galleries at Historic Science Hill is one of the largest collections of British antiques in the United States.
The nearly 200 year-old repurposed property contains a variety of shops and a dining room that serves-up an ample selection of southern favorites and specialties.
Aside from a few minor updates, the former Science Hill school building remains unchanged.
