Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH)

Courtesy of AOH The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) is a Catholic, Irish-American fraternal organization founded in New York City in 1836. The Louisville Division was formed on May 31, 1874.

Every year, the Hibernians present Louisville's St. Patrick’s Parade, located in the Highlands neighborhood.

The Hibernians continue to live out their 300-year old motto: Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity. "Louisville Life" visits this historic order and learns about its history and relevance today.
